Tasmania's hotel scene is diverse, catering to a range of tastes and budgets. From luxury resorts to charming boutique hotels, there's something for everyone. Here’s our personal list of Hotel go-to’s.

Stillwater Seven.

This boutique hotel in Launceston on the Riverfront next to Cataract Gorge with its adjoining restaurant is a standout. As the name implies, they host only seven luxury suites and the incredible service is personalised to match. Martinis and the full restaurant menu delivered to your door as you wish, this luxury hotel is our top pick of the many outstanding choices available in Tasmania. Ship Inn Stanley.

A beautiful historic storytelling hotel nestled between the iconic “Nut” and the fisherman’s wharf in Stanley, it makes our list of the very best luxury hotels Tasmania has to offer when exploring the regions. There are 170 years of stories here told by the fireplaces from sailors and travellers worldwide, and it’s the perfect place to hang your hat and add your own yarns to its tapestry. A multi-award winner for a reason, so book your stay early to avoid disappointment!

Mona Pavillions Hobart.

There are a plethora of luxury hotel options in Hobart, but one is yet to blow our socks off enough to recommend it on. The exception to that is the 8 luxury pavillions at Mona Museum on the River Derwent. Each is different in design and offering, but all with the exception eye for design, service and frivolity that Mona is known for around the world. You won’t find this recommendation on top Tasmanian Accommodation Lists often, it’s an “in the know’ bolthole - and you’ll need to book ahead to get a spot!

Is there anything more luxurious than your own island? Satellite Island is an incredibly rare offering in the world of luxury accommodation, that includes private boat transport to and from your own jetty , a boathouse you can sleep in suspended over water, tailored experiences such as diving for your local abalone, collecting and shucking Satellite Island grown oysters as well as private chefs available upon requests. Book 6 - 18 months in advance to avoid disappointment!

The Voyager.

A new offering to the Luxury Tasmanian Accommodation space, but by far one of our favourites. The Voyager is nestled in the Deep South, on it’s own expansive tranquil waterfront estate for absolute privacy, stillness and serenity. Comfortably accommodating parties up to 8, we honestly could not recommend the experience of a stay at The Voyager more, it has fast become high on our lust list!
